Let’s assume you take seriously the things I’ve been talking about. In your business presentations, your marketing, all your correspondence you strive to be very clear.
What happens? A high percentage of your clients either 1) don’t read what you wrote carefully or 2) don’t listen to all of what you say.
And they ask incessant questions and don’t give you the material you need to do a good job for them.
This is a reality of doing business. Things don’t go perfectly. Resistance in the system slows things down and frustration ensues. If you are not careful you’ll start saying that it doesn’t matter what you do, so why bother.
This is a trap and a very large mistake. It shows that clarity is not a one shot deal. You must continually ask simple questions and be patient with people’s non understanding. Sometimes clarity is like a sculpture. The clarity is in the rough stone but it takes talent and great effort to bring it out.
Clarity is a way; a method. Don’t give up on your clients and don’t give up on your search to be clear.
