After all I’ve said about becoming clear this will probably surprise you. The first step to becoming clear is to decide what you want to be clear about.
. What are we trying to get clear? Is it what your business does or is it about your life? This seems obvious but too many of us don’t realize that some parts of our life are already clear and can provide hints to help us in the parts that aren’t so clear. For example, your business might be a mess but your love life and health a joy. So step one is to write down as baldly as possible what you wish to be clear.
Example 1. My business. I wish to make the purpose of my business so clear to myself that I immediately know whether a potential client is suitable (This is not a trivial question. The answer to this defines what your business is, what its market is, how much your product or service costs and how you sell).
Example 2. My health. I desire to define what I mean by good health and the means to obtain it. This is not as trivial as it sounds. With all the competing gurus telling you what is healthy; what to eat, what to drink, how to exercise, getting clear and defining good health is a task that takes study and concentration.
Example 3. Spirit. I wish to know myself and my relationship to the Universe so well that I don’t worry about who I am. Knowledge about yourself is key to being clear and obtaining what you desire in life.
As you write down what you want clarity about pay attention to your feelings about this desire as you write it. Are you apprehensive? Excited? Curious? These feelings are a touchstone to your unconscious which is the gateway to your success. If you feel bored as you write NOTE THIS IMMEDIATELY! Boredom indicates you don’t really care about this question at some level. If you’re not interested you won’t become clear. It is that tickle of curiosity that drives us to become clear. Without it you might as well be watching television.
The first step is critical because it is becoming clear about the questions that interest you.
